I agree with the comment about matching your heart with your job.
Not sure whether that comes from a good plan or good luck. Anyway I feel very lucky to have enjoyed teaching (a lot) from the time I started and until retirement. My wish for the next generation is that they will have the same experience with their careers.
i just spent 20 minutes writing a ridiculously long comment and then the computer froze and ate it. AAGGHH! it was good, too! not in the mood anymore. i'll relate the details over the phone to multiple parties.
