Tuesday

Thank God its over!

Let the pundits now take over and tell us how we have failed.  I suppose that the Al Franken supporters out there see Jon Stewart as actually having something constructive to say in the discussion.  If Steven Colbert can testify before Congress, in character, why wouldn't the MSM give credibility to a couple of comics?

Cliff Lee is further proof that its usually good strategy to short my prognostications.  In sports or otherwise.

3 is Daughter of the Day.  She took over her apartment in NYC today.  I'm sure that we'll get details at some later date.  Good luck with the new digs, Kiddo!  (This was a quick pic from Sunday morning as we broke up FFF and headed for our various destinations.  At a Starbuck's in Iowa City.  Where else would we meet?)

Client dinner tonight at Biaggi's with the son of an elderly local business owner whose contact with reality has been in question now for the last couple of years.  The business has been bleeding cash steadily and there is zero hope of a revival.  Dad can't keep enough of the facts simultaneously in play for a valid analysis before he hits "Tilt" and falls back to a simpler conclusion that we "just need to find the right buyer."  And all will be well.  Ha'vad case studies just don't prepare advisors for these things.

All of my outside flowers became history with hard freezes in the last few days.  Not necessarily a bad thing.  It is November.  We're going to be in the low 20's later this week.  The geraniums at the front of our office building have so far survived, however.  They must be sheltered somehow. But their time is short, and they're way too messy to bring inside for the winter.

Margret may be heading into the garage at SRH's soon too.  She is  Fair Weather Girl.

Gotta go.  Make it a good Election Eve.  Drink heavily.
