Monday

So today is Grandpa Phil's 100th Birthday.  Wow!  Happy Birthday, Daddy!  It's a wonderful life you gave us.

Every one of you in the peanut gallery needs to give a nod to the guy who started it all.

Make it a great day!

Is that dad (Tahoe Phil) in the bottom right corner #16?

That would be right. I have the trophy for the championship that year.

I would like to point out that I would have never seen this picture if it had not been scanned and SHARED (thanks UC).

Time to launch secret scanning mission of family photos. This pic is a great example. I think that the elder horan generation should scan all of their childhood photos so we can all see them and hear the stories behind them. Otherwise, they end up being just pictures with potentially a lot of unanswered questions.

It's not an expensive venture. I had 600 photos scanned for $200. High quality and for an additional fee they can restore old photos. www.scancafe.com

I would highly recommend using a service such as scancafe. Home scanners don't do nearly as good of a job. They are ok for one or two pictures if they get aligned correctly.

Here's my offer. If you (Martha, Margaret, Tahoe Phil, Rosie, and UC) get all of the pictures scanned - I will turn them into a slideshow/movie for everyone. It would be a great reunion party gift. I can even take pictures from the reunion and include them in the slideshow.

What say you?

I meant to comment on this the other day but must have missed the button. you're the little guy in the front, right dad? You look a little like a young susan.

My thought of the day for Grandpa was how he always threatened they'd never let me come back to the restaurant we always went to for breakfast after church if i spilled my water one more time. I really dont know that i've matured much since those days - i still spill stuff all the time...
