The blog today is my real time trip to IC to help make Charlie's move out of Burge. Probably won't get back to this until tomorrow.

Freshman Memories--1955
1. Meeting Doyle at a mixer at the Newman Center the first week on campus. 2. Getting a job at the college library...also the first week. 3. Passing Physics!!! Realizing that high school Biology and Geometry were not enough prep for getting a BS 4. Blowing off the English placement exam and being placed in a class with ESL engineers who all read Of Mice and Men for their oral book report 5. Being homesick...especially for Rosie and Charlie 6. Becoming a Cyclone fan....Gary Thompson beating Wilt in the old Armory (Before there was Hilton Magic there was the Armory) 7. Learning to drink coffee (with 3 teaspoons of sugar) 8. Learning to drink beer....guess everyone does that 9. Walking on campus in the cold weather. 10. Going to the Dean of the Home Economics College to ask to change a sewing class because I couldn't afford the supplies. She gave me the money...I still use the scissors and that action made me a very loyal Iowa Stater.
